St Mary's is a village church in the large village of Ringmer with a typical congregation at the principal service on Sunday of about 50. The fabric of the building includes medieval work, two Tudor chapels, a 19th century bell tower and an attractive late 20th century church room. The church is close to the large village green where cricket is played in the summer.
There is a regular choir at the principal Sunday service and at Evensong accompanied by a fine 3-manual organ. Music ranges from occasional plainsong to familiar modern songs. There is a MU branch, a regular Friday Club for children of primary school age and a youth group. The tower has a dedicated, friendly band of ringers on its 14cwt Eight.
We are an active church community: sociable, prayerful and with many opportunities to encourage and nurture a deeper understanding of your Christian faith.
St Mary's is a popular choice for weddings and baptisms - take a look on our website www.ringmerchurch.org.uk
The church building is currently closed for extensive work on the Chancel (Easter to end July) but church continues with services in our church room. See the website and Facebook pages for details
